The Gate — J Calaway — Make Today Count — Presence
Bold Faith Steps Forward
“Bold faith steps forward even when the path is still hidden.”
Big Idea
Faith doesn’t require full visibility—it requires trust in God’s leadership.
A hidden path doesn’t mean God is absent; it often means He’s teaching us to walk by faith.
God usually reveals the next step, not the whole map.
Key Scriptures (NLT)
2 Corinthians 5:7 — “For we live by believing and not by seeing.”
Hebrews 11:8 — “He went without knowing where he was going.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Trust in the Lord… Seek his will… and he will show you which path to take.”
Psalm 119:105 — “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
Isaiah 43:2 — “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you…”
James 1:5 — “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God…”
What Bold Faith Knows
Calling often comes before clarity (Heb. 11:8).
God’s guidance is often lamp-light, not floodlight (Ps. 119:105).
Trust comes before direction—clarity often follows obedience (Prov. 3:5–6).
The real promise is not the full plan—it’s God’s presence (Isa. 43:2).
What Bold Faith Looks Like
Moving forward with the light you have
Obeying the next step without demanding the full picture
Trusting God’s character more than your understanding
Refusing to let fear fill in the blanks
Practical Challenge (This Week)
Ask God in prayer: “What is my next step?” (James 1:5)
Write it down. Do it within 24–48 hours.
Speak this declaration daily:
“God, I trust You even when I can’t see the whole path.”
“Your Word will guide my next step.”
“You are with me as I move forward.”
Takeaway
You don’t need the whole map to obey God—just the next step.
Bold faith steps forward even when the path is still hidden.
