Trustworthy God
“You don’t need visible proof when you have a trustworthy God.”
Big Idea
Faith isn’t denial—it’s trust in God’s reliability.
Visible proof can change, but God’s character never changes.
We live by believing, not by seeing.
Key Scriptures (NLT)
2 Corinthians 5:7 — “For we live by believing and not by seeing.”
Hebrews 11:1 — “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”
Numbers 23:19 — “God is not a man, so he does not lie… Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
Romans 4:20–21 — “Abraham… was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Trust in the Lord… do not depend on your own understanding… he will show you which path to take.”
John 20:29 — “Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
Philippians 4:6–7 — “Pray about everything… Then you will experience God’s peace…”
What Faith Knows About God
God is truthful — He does not lie (Num. 23:19)
God is faithful — He finishes what He starts (Rom. 4:20–21)
God is wise — His ways are higher than ours (Prov. 3:5–6)
God is present — He gives peace while we wait (Phil. 4:6–7)
When You Want Proof…
Common fear-thoughts:
“What if this doesn’t work out?”
“What if I’m wrong?”
“What if I fail again?”
Bold faith responds:
“God is trustworthy.”
“God keeps His promises.”
“God will guide my next step.”
Practical Challenge (This Week)
Identify one area where you’re waiting for proof before obeying.
Pray daily: “Lord, strengthen my faith and give me peace.”
Take one step of obedience based on God’s Word—not visible evidence.
Speak this declaration out loud:
“I don’t need visible proof when I have a trustworthy God.”
Takeaway
Faith isn’t built on what you can see—it’s built on who God is.
God is trustworthy.
His Word is sure.
His promises are secure.
