The Gate — J Calaway — Make Today Count -- ...What Details???

Mar 11, 2026    J Calaway

Bold Faith Doesn’t Need All the Details

“Bold faith does not need all the details—just confidence in the One who called.”

Big Idea

Faith isn’t built on full information—it’s built on a faithful God.

Bold faith moves with trust, even when the plan is incomplete.

God often gives the next step, not the whole map.

Key Scriptures (NLT)

2 Corinthians 5:7 — “For we live by believing and not by seeing.”

Hebrews 11:8 — “He went without knowing where he was going.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… he will show you which path to take.”

Romans 4:20–21 — “He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.”

Isaiah 55:8–9 — “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts… my ways are far beyond…”

Psalm 119:105 — “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”

What Bold Faith Knows

Calling comes before clarity. God often calls you to move before you see the whole picture.

God’s character is the anchor. Faith rests in who God is, not what you can predict.

More details don’t always equal more peace. Peace comes from God’s leadership.

What Bold Faith Looks Like

Obeying the next step even when the destination isn’t clear

Trusting God’s direction more than your understanding

Believing God’s promise over present uncertainty

Staying close to God’s voice through prayer and the Word

Practical Challenge (This Week)

Ask God: “What’s my next obedient step?”

Do what you already know God has told you to do.

Replace fear questions with faith declarations:

“God, I trust You even without all the details.”

“If You called me, You will guide me.”

“I’m fully convinced You can do what You promised.”

Takeaway

God may not show you the full map, but He will provide enough light for the next step.

Bold faith doesn’t need all the details—just confidence in the One who called.
