The Gate — J Calaway — Make Today Count — Mountain Moving Faith
Mountains Move Because God Is Faithful
“Mountains don’t move because we are strong; they move because God is faithful.”
Big Idea
Your breakthrough isn’t powered by your strength—it’s powered by God’s faithfulness.
Even small faith in a faithful God can move big obstacles.
Don’t focus on how strong you feel—focus on how faithful God is.
Key Scriptures (NLT)
Matthew 17:20 — “Faith even as small as a mustard seed… you could say to this mountain, ‘Move,’ and it would move.”
Zechariah 4:6–7 — “Not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit… Nothing… not even a mighty mountain…”
Lamentations 3:22–23 — “Great is his faithfulness.”
Hebrews 10:23 — “Hold tightly… for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”
Philippians 1:6 — “God… will continue his work until it is finally finished.”
What This Means
Mountains move by God’s Spirit, not your hustle (Zech. 4:6–7).
You can be tired and still trust—because God doesn’t change (Lam. 3:22–23).
Faith is holding on to God’s promise, not forcing results (Heb. 10:23).
If God started it, He will finish it (Phil. 1:6).
Practical Challenge (This Week)
Name your mountain (write it down).
Pray with “mustard-seed” faith: “God, I trust Your faithfulness.”
Speak one declaration daily:
“My strength is limited, but God is faithful.”
“Not by my strength, but by God’s Spirit.”
“God can be trusted to keep His promise.”
Takeaway
You don’t need to be strong to see God move.
Mountains move because God is faithful.
