The Gate — J Calaway — Make Today Count
'Progress is not achieved by luck or accident, but by working on yourself daily.'
One of the biggest misconceptions we often have about progress is that it happens overnight. We see the success stories of others and assume that they simply got lucky or stumbled upon their achievements by chance. But the truth is, true and lasting progress is the result of consistent, intentional effort over time.
We will experience difficulty and valleys but keep strong and realize those are times of growth and forward progress (James 1:2-3)
By cultivating daily habits that nourish our minds, bodies, and spirits, we can create a solid foundation for lasting change. Guard against those things that destroy life. (Proverbs 4:23)
Some examples of powerful daily habits might include:
- Dedicating time each day to personal reflection, prayer, or meditation
- Engaging in regular physical activity, such as a daily walk or workout
- Committing to a consistent sleep schedule and prioritizing self-care
- Reading or listening to inspiring and educational content
- Practicing gratitude and mindfulness throughout the day
keep our eyes fixed on the bigger picture, to trust in the process, and to find joy in the journey, even when the road ahead seems challenging. It's in these moments of adversity that we have the opportunity to grow, to develop resilience, and to deepen our faith.
Even though we may look, feel, or are told we are too old, young, or wasting away, we are focused on the future that is out of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
So trust the process, celebrate the small wins, learn from setbacks, and Make Today Count!
