The Gate — J Calaway — Make Today Count — Freedom in Vision

“You don’t have any hope or freedom from anxiety without a clear vision of your future.” This rings so true, doesn’t it? Without a sense of direction, it's easy to feel lost and overwhelmed.

I want to share some scriptures that align perfectly with this idea. One of my favorites is Jeremiah 29:11, which says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”* This verse reminds us that God has a plan for each of us—a future filled with hope and purpose.

But how do we move from anxiety to hope? It starts with clarity. Proverbs 29:18 says, *“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” When we lack a clear vision, we wander aimlessly, often leading to anxiety and despair. But with a vision, we gain a roadmap, a guiding star that helps us navigate through life's challenges.

Now, let's break down practical steps to create that clear vision:

1.       Prayer and Reflection: Take time daily to pray and reflect. Ask God to reveal His plans for you. (Philippians 4:6-7)

2.       Set Goals: Start with small, achievable goals. These milestones will build your confidence and clarity.

3.       Write It Down: Writing your vision solidifies it and makes it tangible. (Habakkuk 2:2)

4.       Seek Wise Counsel: Surround yourself with people who uplift and guide you. (Proverbs 15:22)
