There is no opponent…there is just you. How are you to love your neighbor? The way you love yourself. It is very important to understand there is no victory in comparing yourself to others in the room. The art of comparison is simply the act of dumbing down the standard by which you are to live.
We don’t say “make today count cause your better than _______!” No. You are to make today count because YOU are better YOU were yesterday.
Compare yourself to you yesterday. Better yet compare yourself to Jesus Christ. Raise bar. Set the standard high. Shoot for perfection and in the journey achieve excellence!
