The Gate — J Calaway — Make Today Count — New Place-New Face
“The place God is taken by you requires new habits, a new mindset, and a stronger prayer life.” This quote challenges us to reflect on our spiritual journey and the necessary changes we might need to embrace in our lives.
Out habits are the vehicle by which we progress. How we do anything is how we do everything. When God takes on a new path he expects new habits.
Let's start by unpacking the idea of **new habits**. In the book of James, we read, "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22 ESV). This scripture emphasizes the importance of actively living out our faith through our daily actions.
Creating new habits begins with small, intentional changes. Perhaps it's setting aside time each morning for devotion or committing to serve others in our community. When we make a conscious effort to incorporate these practices into our lives, we create space for God to work.
When God takes us on a journey to walk closer with him our minds must shift and set in a new order. Romans 12:2
Transforming our mindset means aligning our thoughts with God’s Word. It could involve replacing negative thoughts with affirmations rooted in scripture or seeking out uplifting fellowship with others who share our faith. When we see ourselves and our circumstances through God’s eyes, we open ourselves up to His guidance and love.
When God places us in a new plan our communication must get deeper, stronger, more direct. Jeremiah 29:12-14
We seek him and He promises we will find Him. He will reveal things we do not know. He will guide us through the uncharted waters, the unmapped wilderness.
